Your application has been considered and I am pleased to advise you that you have satisfied the practical work experience requirements for electrician registration and you will be registered as an electrician when you have completed the required coursework and pass the electrician level;
• Regulations examination; and
• Theory examination; and
• Practical examination or three stages of practical assessment; and
• Safety training.
Also I am pleased to advise that you are entitled to be issued with a Limited Certificate (Electrician). The Limited Certificate will be valid for 12 months and will enable you to carry out prescribed electrical work appropriate to the work of an Electrician, while you are working towards completing the coursework/examination aspects to enable registration as an electrician.
The Limited Certificate will be issued to you on receipt of a fully completed Limited Certificate application form. To print off the form please go to the Boards website at
Electrical Workers Registration Board | Home complete all sections of the form and send to the Registrar, EWRB, PO Box10156 Wellington 6143. Please note the Limited Certificate would be issued on the condition that the above coursework and examinations are attempted at each opportunity during the currency of the certificate until a pass is achieved. The course/examination providers are listed under Tuition on the Board’s web site. Course commencement dates and costs are obtained from the providers.
