The Government is trying to give control of our medicines, natural health products and medical devices to an Australian based agency. Even though Parliament's Health Select Committee unanimously recommended AGAINST this proposal, the Government signed a treaty with Australia to give away New Zealand's right to control these industries in December 2003. But because of the opposition so far the Government haven't yet been able to have it passed into law. Labour is trying desperately to get other political parties to support them but through continued direct opposition we can still stop it.

It focuses on keeping our health choices here in NZ with sensible regulations that encourage cost efficiency, safety and choice for consumers and innovation for the industry.
