Software & Systems Engineer (x2), High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems and Applications Support, Centre for eResearch
These positions will include responsibilities for:
- assisting researchers, groups and projects with their use of relevant algorithms, application, toolsets, architectures, and platforms
- evolving the development and support process, frameworks, toolsets, and computational platforms for computational and data intensive research
- outreach and engagement with research and development communities to collaboratively develop systems and software, and transfer knowledge, skills, and technologies
These positions are fixed term for 3 years.

Techncial Skills
· *nix operating systems engineering and administration
· Java, C, C++
· Python, Perl, JavaScript, Ruby
· Distributed computing environments, including compute clusters, job submission and batch schedulers
· Web 2.0 UI and Application frameworks and libraries
· Semantic web technologies
· Data formats, storage protocols, and related technologies
· Identity management, including LDAP, Kerberos, and Shibboleth / SAML
· Systems, Network, Storage architectures and systems
· You will gain experience with grid and distributed computing and data middleware packages such as Globus, gLite, iRODS, and others
