  • Report: Since being installed in Christchurch there have been many earthquakes/after shocks ranging from magnitude 2.0 to 5.5 so they are not listed here individually. In summary, the observer has reported that the Quake Alarm has detected all earthquakes/aftershocks above magnitude 3.5 (and some as low as 3.0 depending upon depth and distance from the Quake Alarm), giving a few seconds warning in each case and continuing to sound for the duration of the earthquake.
  • The Quake Alarm has been found to be particularly useful at night to wake everybody up quickly saving time from the advance warning, the instant confirmation that a quake is occurring and the rapid awakening that the sound of the alarm provides. No false alarms have been detected.

Смотрел когда то видео про аналогичную систему оповещения в Японии, когда срабатывает звуковой сигнал и у людей есть время спрятаться под стол от падающих предметов.
 
Оно с одной стороны вроде как хорошо, только за несколько секунд в лучшем случае проснуться успеешь, а если ночью несколько автошоков по 3.5 будет, то так всю ночь будильник и отключать? Я прошлую ночь 4.1 благополучно проспала, и честно говоря ничуть не расстроилась.
 
Времени прошло достаточно, чтоб оценить. Какое мнение об этом приборе?
