Systems Engineer (Networks) - 6 months fixed term
The team are responsible for all Telephony Platforms (Avaya IP Telephony, Mobiles), Data Networks (WAN \ LAN) and Network Security (Proxy Servers, Checkpoint firewalls)
• Minimum 3-5 years experience working in an IT Infrastructure Operations and Services Department – within a Network \ Telephony team
• Demonstrable understanding and experience in Network operation, support and design – WAN\LAN, TCPIP, Security, Routers and Switches
• Experience in telephony platforms including PABXs and Avaya IP Telephony
• Experience in network security devices including, Checkpoint firewalls, Bluecoat Proxies and Netscalers
• Experience in Network Management tools
• Industry standard certifications in relevant technologies such as CCNA/CCNP, Checkpoint, Avaya IP Telephony (desirable).
• Experience in using network tools such as Cisco Works, eHealth, Spectrum (desirable)
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of principles of testing in infrastructure implementation (desirable)
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology or related discipline (Desired)
• Ability to analyse complex systems (eg: electrical consumption, heat exchange)
