Where to stay in Queenstown

Compare the centre, Frankton and hillside apartments before choosing your room.

Centre: shorter walks, check parking

Stay near Queenstown Bay for restaurants, the waterfront and central tour pickups without repeated car trips. Check the actual pickup address: a central hotel is not a promise of door-to-door collection. Rooms can face busy streets; ask about noise and overnight parking charges. An apartment with a kitchen suits several nights, but check the walk back uphill with luggage.

Frankton or a hillside stay

Frankton suits an airport-related night and drivers continuing east. It is a separate base from the town centre: allow for bus or road travel rather than expecting a short waterfront stroll. Orbus connects the area; check your stop and the live timetable. Fernhill and other hillside addresses can offer views, but gradients matter more than map distance. Reserve parking and check the entrance, stairs and lift for your exact unit.

A property to investigate

Blue Peaks Apartments offers two- and three-bedroom self-contained apartments opposite Queenstown Gardens, with kitchens, laundry and parking. It is a practical candidate for a group sharing living space. Compare the total apartment price against the required number of hotel rooms. Confirm unit access and bedding directly; this is a facilities-based suggestion, not a firsthand inspection.
